Bio

For over 25 years, Stan Balcom has dedicated his life to helping people grow, heal, and live with greater purpose. His work spans the globe and nearly every area of the human services field—from international development to mental health care, disability services, and faith-based coaching.

A Global Heart for Service

During nearly five years in Africa, Stan Balcom trained teachers in math instruction, taught villagers about clean water and sanitation, and led training programs for incoming Peace Corps Volunteers. He also served as a caseworker assisting Ethiopian refugees applying for U.S. immigration, offering both compassion and practical guidance.

Leadership in Human Services

Returning to the United States, Stan Balcom spent 14 years working with adults with intellectual disabilities—as a direct care worker, case manager, group home manager, and program coordinator. His leadership extended beyond daily work to advocacy, serving on the board of a nonprofit employment agency and as Vice President of the American Association on Mental Retardation (now AAIDD) for Region 10, covering the Northeast U.S. and Southeast Canada.

He also worked in mental health care as a psychiatric nurse’s aide at the Brattleboro Retreat in Vermont, gaining firsthand experience supporting individuals on their journeys toward healing.

Founding and Ministry Work

In 2014, Stan Balcom founded 7-70 Re-entry Services, a nonprofit organization dedicated to coaching and counseling formerly incarcerated individuals as they reentered their communities. After nearly a decade of impact, he and his wife Suzanne launched S&S Pastoral Services in 2023—a ministry offering Christian Life Coaching and Pastoral Counseling for believers seeking growth, healing, and purpose.

Inspired by 2 Corinthians 1:4, Stan Balcom continues his mission to comfort and strengthen others through Christ-centered care.

Stan Balcom holds a Master’s Degree in Life Coaching from Life Catalyst Institute, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a Local Ministerial License with the United Pentecostal Church International. He is also an active member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC).

Faith-Based Coaching for Every Season

Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, overcoming spiritual struggles, or seeking personal growth, Stan Balcom offers biblical wisdom, practical coaching, and compassionate guidance. His approach combines professional experience with genuine care, helping individuals find clarity, confidence, and peace through faith.
